Cold Cave, Confetti

New Yorker Wesley Eisold and his band Cold Cave released it’s second album, Cherish The Light Years, this past spring on Matador records. While Eisold’s musical past is in hardcore, Cold Cave’s sound tracks towards all that’s great in new wave and industrial/electronic/ goth. You hear miles of influence from everyone from Joy Division to Echo and the Bunnymen to the Psychedelic Furs.

The group was a featured player at this summer’s Pitchfork Festival here in Chicago, and if you are a child of 80’s synth wave, you are going to love this disc. Or else.

Here is the single from the disc, Confetti.
