The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Simple and Sure

Listen: The Pains of Being Pure at Heart:

Indie popsters and sometimes shoegazers The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart are releasing their third album, Days of Abandon, in April. This week they debuted the first track from the album, Simple and Sure, which is a throwback to 80’s new wave pop circa John Hughes films like Sixteen Candles: the song reminds me a bit of General Public’s Tenderness, but that’s just me.

Yes those were certainly days of abandon, so I guess the album title is appropriate.
