Beastie Boys, Paul’s Boutique turns 25

Throwback Friday: 1989. Beastie Boys released their second album, Paul’s Boutique. Labeled a more mature album, a departure from the freshman frat-antics of License to Ill. With over 105 song samples, it was a sonic marriage of the Boys to producers the Dust Brothers. It’s pretty much was ahead of it’s time.

Twenty-five years ago today. A classic was born.

A moment.

Now, hit it!

“Is your name Michael Diamond?” “No, my names is Clarence.”

“She’s got a gold tooth, you know she’s hardcore.”

“I’ve got more titles than JD Sallinger”

“You got your finger on the trigger like the Son of Sam”

Fuck. Yeah.
