David Bowie, Lazarus

David Bowie’s new album, (pronounced Blackstar), was released last week on his birthday. It’s straight out of an obtuse experimental noise/jazz/ acid trip bender. Intriguing and good listening, a great 25th album.

And particularly poignant as he died of cancer yesterday. He was 69.

Lazarus is the second track off the album, and a more linear song than the stream of consciousness that is the title track. It gives off a creepy cool vibe, and the wild saxaphone screaming towards the end is vibrant.
