The Strokes, Future Present Past EP

80’s NYC new/darkwave /90’s alternative funk/ post punk awesomeness from the Stokes. It’s better than a NYC slice.

The Strokes go all throwback with their new EP, Future Present Past. It’s super hot, and it’s effing good. Drag Queen throws down and is tighter than your Terri Nunn bangs, riding on the Metro.

Then, Oblivius goes anthem rocker on us. Killer chorus and guitar solo bridge.

Threat of Joy rounds out the trio with jazz tinged melodies.

It’s all pretty smashing. A real surprising treat, very unexpected and well done. It’s also a great cap on this school of thought: if you want to do it right, keep it short, sweet and to the point.
